Livewell problems. Mar 3, 2016 · A year or so ago, guys with new Crestliners were fighting the same problem, it turns out the position of the livewell drain was directly in front of the outboard, and water bouncing-off the lower unit at speed was being forced into the drain hole. I've tried back washing it, but I'll try again. Whether you're upgrading your setup, dialing in electronics, trading fishing tips, or just talking boats - you're in the right place. The water level remains too high, sometimes covering the spray tube, AND it splashes out from under the seat (it's a livewell with a seatcushion).
